Lingwood is a fairly large village situated near to the A47 Norwich to Great Yarmouth road. The village is roughly 9 miles from both Great Yarmouth and Norwich and close to the Norfolk Broads. Lingwood merges with the village of Strumpshaw, famous for its RSPB sanctuary at Strumpshaw Fen. Lingwood has a good community spirit with a variety of clubs and organisations making use of the village hall. Lingwood St Peter is on the edge of the village, and was built mainly in the 14th century.

Accommodation ratings
The English Tourism Council, RAC and AA ratings mean that you know
that the accommodation has been thoroughly checked and rated before
you make your booking.
Hotels are given a rating of between one and five stars; the more
stars, the higher the quality of room, service and facilities. Guest
accommodation, which includes bed and breakfast, guesthouses and
farmhouses, is rated in the same way, but with diamonds rather than
stars. The levels of quality and customer care get progressively
higher as the diamonds increase.
