The small village of Wendling is situated approximately 4 miles from the town of Dereham, close to the A47. Here you will find Honeypot Wood, which is ancient woodland containing a mixture of ash and oak trees. The wood supports a rich variety of fauna and many butterflies. Wendling once had a mainline railway station and had USAAF regiments based here during World War II.
