Aldborough
Aldborough village, its church and mill are all listed in the Domesday Book. Lying three miles west of the A140 between Aylsham and Cromer, the village centres around its green, with various shops and houses clustered around it. During the summer months it is used as a cricket ground and in winter as a football pitch.
Aldborough is the largest village between Cromer and Aylsham and is home to three medieval churches in a line along the nearby Holt to North Walsham road. The oldest of the three is the parish church of Aldborough, called St Mary and is towerless after it fell in the 18th century.
Aldborough has a Primary school, located about 5 miles south from Cromer and 6 miles from Aylsham.
