Foxley village, Norfolk
The ancient village of Foxley is roughly 15 miles from the city of Norwich on the A1067, Norwich to Fakenham road. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book, and its name derives from ‘fox-leah’, ‘leah’ meaning a clearing in or around a wood. Foxley Wood is a popular lace to visit, especially during April and May when there is a great carpet of bluebells.
