Hillington village, Norfolk

The west Norfolk village of Hillington can be found 7 miles north east of King’s Lynn, close to the A148 road. The village is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and was known by the name Helingetuna, meaning “lying near the water”. Hillington church, St Mary’s, dates in part to the 15th century and is built of brick, flint and stone.
