Mundford village, Norfolk

Mundford is 8 miles north of Thetford and close to the prehistoric flint mines of Grimes Graves, in Weeting. During excavations, items have been unearthed indicating that a settlement has existed here since Saxon times. In recent years the village population has grown, with many residents finding employment in nearby Thetford. Mundford church, St Leonard, has an ornate carved screen and a distinctive spire that dominates the village skyline. Mundford has good facilities including a village hall and a number of shops and businesses.
