The village of Saham Toney is situated on the edge of Breckland, 1 mile north west of Watton. At the centre of the village is a large privately owned mere, which is thought to be as old as the last Ice Age. Saham Toney church is an impressive flint building built during the 13th century that has over the years, been sympathetically restored.
