Thorpe Abbotts village, Norfolk

Thorpe Abbotts is a village 5 miles east of Diss and 18 miles south of the city of Norwich. From 1943–1945, Thorpe Abbotts was home to the 100th Bomb Group and the memorial museum dedicated to the USAAF’s famous “Bloody Hundredth” World War Two Bomb Group is popular with American and British Royal Air Force veterans. The Museum is located in the village and entry is free, although donations are appreciated.
