Tivetshall St Mary is a village in south Norfolk, 4½ miles north east of the town of Diss, close to the neighbouring village of Tivetshall St Margaret. The village church, St Mary, is now a ruin, having been damaged by the sonic boom of a low flying jet plane in1949, which caused the tower to collapse.
