South Norfolk has a special charm, with picturesque villages and market towns. Wymondham is the largest town in South Norfolk and has a very popular market every Friday. Thorpe Abbotts near Diss is where the 100th Bomb Group Memorial Museum can be found. It is a tribute to the 8th Air Force (USAAF) which was based in Norfolk during the Second World War.
