Situated in West Runton, near the coastal town of Cromer, The Norfolk Shire Horse Centre is an attraction suitable for the whole family. Visitors can enjoy a range of shows, see demonstrations of how Shire horses once worked the land, watch and take part in animal feeding, play in the large traditional children’s play area, get close to a number of small animals and meet the foals.

The North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line is the direct descendant of the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway, which did so much to open up the glorious Poppyland coast to holidaymakers. Today the Poppy Line steam railway runs from Sheringham along the coast to Weybourne and up through the heathland to Holt: with its spectacular views of coast and country, it is one of Britain's most scenic heritage railways. Steam trains run most days from mid-March to mid-October, and at weekends in December. All day hop-on, hop-off Rover tickets let you explore town and country.
