The North Norfolk Railway Poppy Line is the direct descendant of the Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway, which did so much to open up the glorious Poppyland coast to holidaymakers. Today the Poppy Line steam railway runs from Sheringham along the coast to Weybourne and up through the heathland to Holt: with its spectacular views of coast and country, it is one of Britain's most scenic heritage railways. Steam trains run most days from mid-March to mid-October, and at weekends in December. All day hop-on, hop-off Rover tickets let you explore town and country.
