Loddon is in south Norfolk on the A146, Norwich to Lowestoft road. Until the mid 1970’s, before the bypass was built, the main route from Norwich to Lowestoft took you straight through Loddon. Holy Trinity church, stands at the centre of Loddon and is a fine 15th century building open for worship. Loddon boasts a whole range of amenities including doctors’ surgery, post office, police station, fire station, dentist, opticians, library, bank and 3 schools. The River Chet runs through Loddon and is a popular stopping point with those visiting the Norfolk Broads.

Accommodation ratings
The English Tourism Council, RAC and AA ratings mean that you know
that the accommodation has been thoroughly checked and rated before
you make your booking.
Hotels are given a rating of between one and five stars; the more
stars, the higher the quality of room, service and facilities. Guest
accommodation, which includes bed and breakfast, guesthouses and
farmhouses, is rated in the same way, but with diamonds rather than
stars. The levels of quality and customer care get progressively
higher as the diamonds increase.
