Enchanted Journey of Light 2020 at Thursford
Published date: September 2020
Thursford’s annual and hugely popular Christmas Spectacular is sadly cancelled this year due to Covid-19, but their Enchanted Journey of Light is set to be an exciting alternative, offering socially distanced festive fun for the whole family!
Running from Thursday 19th November 2020 through to Sunday 3rd January 2021, Thursford’s much anticipated Enchanted Journey of Light begins in the main auditorium with an all-new indoor Wonderland Trail - a maze of fairy-tale characters, engines and a captivating experience of sound and light including one of the UK’s biggest kinetic light displays.
Your journey will continue into Santa’s Magical Journey Building, past penguins and polar bears, giant-sized teddy bears, elves busy at work in the toy factory and the snowman family - watch out for their snowballs! Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Santa will be at the event in 2020 as he must self-isolate. It is essential he remains fit and well for Christmas Eve, when he has to deliver all the presents around the world.
Then venture outside to a 4-acre Lantern Light Extravaganza, a beautiful, breath-taking festival of luminous sculptures, from a fantasy forest of jungle animals to the wilds of the North Pole.
Tickets for Thursford’s Enchanted Journey of Light are on sale now, through their website or by telephone. Please note that booking is essential for this one-off event. Entry to the Enchanted Journey of Light is £15 per person, under 3’s free of charge. The ticket price includes entry to the site, with approximately a 1,100-meter magical light journey, shops, cafes, and restaurant. This event is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
