Art Fair East Returns to Norwich in 2019
Published date: November 2019
Showcasing international, national and local artists, galleries and dealers to art lovers and collectors from the eastern region, this major art fair returns to Norwich in 2019. Housed again this year in the centre of Norwich, in the stunning setting of Saint Andrews Hall, the art fair is one of the largest exhibitions of its kind outside of London. Visitors can browse and purchase hundreds of pieces of artwork by both international and regional talent, from affordable prints by recognised artists and new talent to investment pieces including original paintings, sculpture, photography and commissions.
Art Fair East 2019 promises to be one of the region’s largest and liveliest art events and the organisers are confident that this year’s exhibition is going to be their biggest and best fair to date.
There will be plenty of Norfolk talent at Art Fair East, including:
Edward Crosier - with a passion for still life painting, Edward Crosier prefers not the organised tableau but the overlooked ornament and forgotten keepsake, particularly ceramic and coloured glass, detailing the reflection and refraction of the light and the myriad of colours. Edward is a talented young Norfolk artist who uses vibrant colours and was awarded distinctions in fine art and 3D spatial art and has exhibited at art fairs across the UK for the last two years.
Keith Tutt Paintings - Working from his studio in Fakenham, Norfolk, Keith Tutt has exhibited works in solo and mixed exhibitions throughout the UK and has also completed portrait and landscape commissions for a variety of UK and international clients.
Brian Korteling - Brian Korteling is a Norwich based award winning artist with a background in graphic design. He works mainly as a painter but also produces 3D site specific pieces. Along with Will Teather, Brian is also one of the organisers of Art Fair East.
Glenn Stanton - a local artist who was born in Norwich, Glenn Stanton produces figurative paintings that depict the beauty of the female nude, using the delicacy of watercolour and has exhibited his paintings locally and internationally.
John Sparks - a self-taught oil painter who is based in Norwich, John Sparks’ paintings have been the subject of numerous national and international group exhibitions. John is inspired by his travels and paints atmospheric scenes depicting modern life in a classical way.
Gabriella Buckingham - Gabriella’s professional career began in the early 90s as an illustrator, after graduating from Kingston in Surrey with a degree in Graphic Design. Moving to Norfolk in 2003 with her young family, Gabriella began taking part in open studios and her work is in several private collections. This year one of her still life paintings was selected for the prestigious Holt Festival Art Prize.
Chedgey - Teaching art in Germany and the UK, David Chedgey was head of art at Wymondham College between 1972-90.
Norfolk by Design - Pop-up exhibitions and online sales of art and handmade crafts from across Norfolk and the wider East Anglian region is Norfolk by Design. They promote the work of artists, designers, ceramicists, textile designers, photographers and furniture makers through their itinerant exhibitions housed in non-gallery settings and their online shop. New to Art Fair East, Norfolk by Design will feature a small selection of work by artists and makers that they have been working with recently and some who will be showing their work for the first time.
