The small and quiet south Norfolk village of Morningthorpe is located next to the A140 Norwich to Ipswich road and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. Morningthorpe church, St John the Baptist, has a round Saxon tower with 3 bells and was restored in 1889 leaving little of the original interior intact.
