If you like to bag a bargain, the following Norfolk car boot sales are sure to be of interest. A car boot sale or boot fair, as they are sometimes known, are where private individuals come together to sell their unwanted household, personal and garden goods. Extremely popular in the UK, Norfolk has its fair share of car boot sales and attracts many buyers who love browsing through other people’s unwanted items in search of a bargain. Car boot sales are more prevalent during the summer months in Norfolk, however indoor car boot sales are becoming increasingly popular and these run all year round. So be prepared to haggle and grab yourself a bargain and you may make a small fortune at a car boot sale in Norfolk this coming weekend.
Here are some top tips for those attending a car boot sale:
The early bird catches the bargain - if you want to find the best bargains, then it’s imperative that you get to the car boot sale early. The ‘professional car boot dealers’ will be there as soon as it opens, so you have to get there when they do.
Take a helper – two pairs of eyes are better than one, when you are searching for a bargain. How many times have you watched the Antiques Roadshow and heard the item was bought at a car boot sale for 50p and is now worth hundreds or thousands? Not only an extra pair of eyes, but they will also be an extra pair of hands to help you carry all your purchases.
Make quick decisions – if you find something you like, don’t delay purchasing it. Chances are it won’t be very costly, and you can always negotiate the price with the seller. Good items sell fast – don’t miss out on a bargain by pondering for too long.
Don’t forget to haggle – it’s perfectly acceptable to negotiate over the price. The stallholder will be keen not to take the items back home again, so make them an offer they can’t refuse.
