Bacton
Bacton-on-Sea is known for its North Sea gas terminals that pump gas around the United Kingdom.
Bromholm Priory, or Bacton Abbey as it is more commonly known, was founded in 1113 as a cell to Castle Acre Priory. Today, only ruins remain of the former Cluniac Monastery. The Priory is mentioned in Chaucer's 'Canterbury Tales' when the Miller's Wife cries, "Helpe Holy Cross of Bromholm".
