Alderford
The village of Alderford is quiet and picturesque and can be found 3 miles south east of Reepham. Its population is low and there are no community facilities but ample scenery and rolling fields. There are records of a settlement at Alderford which date back to the 11th century and the village is also mentioned in the Domesday Book. Alderford's church, St. John the Baptist, dates back to the 14th century and is one of the smallest churches in the Wensum Group. It has a tall slender tower and in the south porch you can see a fine example of a 14th century door knocker.
