Ketteringham is 6 miles south west of the city of Norwich and is a small agricultural village next to the A11 road. Ketteringham church, St Peter's, is mentioned in the Domesday Book and has a tower with 6 bells and a clock. During 1943 huts were erected in Ketteringham for servicemen of the United States 8th Army Airforce and Ketteringham Hall was the headquarters of the American air bases in Norfolk. In recent years new housing has been built and working age residents mostly travel out of the village to find employment.
