Wiveton
The pretty north Norfolk village of Wiveton is close to the popular villages of Morston, Blakeney and Cley-next-the-Sea. St Mary's church dates from medieval times but was significantly altered in the 19th century. It has a remarkable little window high up in the north sanctuary, depicting St Mark, which was uncovered in the 1990's, having been bricked up. During the late summer the lanes around Wiveton are laden with elderberries, which are excellent for winemaking and preserving.
