MHA Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon

On Sunday 5th April 2020 it’s the Norwich Half Marathon and online entry is open – there’s still time to enter and secure your place! Starting at 10:30am at Norfolk Showground, the MHA Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon, organised by the members and friends of City of Norwich Athletic Club, also finishes at Norfolk Showground. Runners follow a rural single lap route through Easton, Honingham, Colton, Barnham Broom and Marlingford, with all roads along the race route closed to through traffic whilst the race is underway.
It’s a BARR Gold Grade event and over the years it has earned a reputation for fast times, value for money and excellent organisation.
MHA Larking Gowen Business Challenge – this special competition helps build team spirit, promotes a healthy workforce and raises money for a very worthy local charity. Maybe you want to challenge your business rivals or another department within your organisation? Healthy competition is good on every level, so why not take part in the Business Challenge. They aggregate the chip times of the first 3 finishers from your company and the team with the lowest aggregate time wins – simple. Each Business Challenge team must consist of bona fide employees of your own company or organisation. This does not mean relatives and friends of employees, sub-contractors etc, just proper employees, simply enter your company name when you register. Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 Business Challenge teams.

Affiliated Race Entry - for those who are affiliated to England Athletics - £25.00
Unaffiliated Race Entry - those who are not affiliated to England Athletics - £27.00
Commemorative race t-shirts can be purchased for £10 each and collected on race day.
The race charity is the East Anglian Air Ambulance - a helicopter emergency medical service provider with two helicopters and two rapid response vehicles. Run from bases in Norwich and Cambridge, they can reach anywhere in the region within 25 minutes and care for patients who have suffered life-threatening or life-changing accidents or medical emergencies and fly them to the most appropriate hospital for their needs. So those who take on the MHA Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon not only get a sense of personal achievement by entering, they are also raising money for a very worthy local charity.
Become a volunteer for the MHA Larking Gowen City of Norwich Half Marathon - Fancy being part of the Norwich Half Marathon without actually running? Then why not become a volunteer. To help ensure the success of this year’s half marathon, volunteers are needed. It is expected that up to 3,000 runners will arrive on race day so that means that plenty of people will be required to work behind the scenes. Members and friends of City of Norwich Athletic Club will form the vast majority of the volunteers, but extra volunteers are always very welcome to ensure runner safety and to undertake various other tasks.
