This year Easter weekend begins on Good Friday, April 19th until Easter Monday, April 22nd, 2019 with most Norfolk schools closing between Monday 8th and Monday 22nd April 2019.

There is a plethora of activities and events this coming Easter in Norfolk, from the obligatory Easter egg hunt to circus spectaculars, fun runs, scavenger hunts, charity events, night hikes, nature trails, and even Easter themed steam train trips. Pensthorpe Natural Park Easter Eggstravaganza

Saturday 6th April - Monday 22nd April 2019

The Easter Eggstravaganza event at Pensthorpe Natural Park runs during the school holidays and is an ideal time to visit as there will be lots of eggciting Easter egg treasure hunts around the reserve, pond dipping, talks and Easter-themed craft activities. Also, the Emily Rose Fine Art Easter Exhibition will run from Tuesday 2nd April – Tuesday 9th April 2019 at Pensthorpe Natural Park. This Easter, Emily Rose, a young Norfolk artist, will be exhibiting a range of wildlife paintings specific to Norfolk. The exhibition at Pensthorpe will be open 10am – 5pm Monday through to Saturday and 10am – 4pm Sunday, entry to the exhibition is free.

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden

Hippodrome Circus Easter Blockbuster

Saturday 6th April - Sunday 28th April 2019

The Hippodrome’s Easter blockbuster show Pirates Live! returns to Great Yarmouth on Saturday 6th April until Sunday 28th April 2019, with a brand-new production. Blickling Estate Easter Adventures

Bure Valley Railway Easter Eggspress

Hop on board the Easter Eggspress during the Easter school holidays, for an egg-citing day out for the whole family. Experience a nostalgic trip by steam on Norfolk’s longest narrow-gauge railway that runs between Aylsham and Wroxham. RSPB Strumpshaw Fen - Go Wild at Easter Family Trai

Sheringham Park Easter Events

Saturday 6th April - Monday 22nd April 2019

National Trust & Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday 6th April to Monday 22nd April 2019, 10am – 4.15pm

Every day during the Easter holidays visitors to Sheringham Park can take part in one of their Easter trails, with yummy Cadbury chocolate prizes rumoured to have been provided by the Easter Bunny. All trails £2.50.

Night Hike - Monday 15th April 2019 - 20:00 - 22:00

See what’s stirring as night falls at Sheringham Park. Muntjac and Roe deer come out of hiding and the stars can be spectacular on a clear night. £5 children, £3 accompanying adults (booking required).

Wild Animal Tracking - Tuesday 16th April 2019 - 10:30 - 12:30

Norwich Cathedral Easter Holiday Family Fun Day

Enjoy a day of craft activities, puppet shows and story and dance workshops at Norwich Cathedral on Wednesday 10th April 2019. Bugs, beasts and beautiful things is the theme of their family fun day which will be packed full of springtime and Easter fun. The event will run from 10.30am until 3.30pm. Nelson’s Journey Easter Egg Hunt

Between 11am - 3pm at Barningham Hall, Matlaske, Norfolk, Nelson’s Journey, a Norfolk Charity that offers bereavement support to children and young people, is hosting an Easter egg hunt. Salhouse Broad Easter Egg Hunt

Strumpshaw Hall Steam Museum Easter Event

Sunday 21st April 2019

Fun for all the family on Easter Sunday - 10.30am - 3.30pm. Family ticket £10 (up to 2 children), £2 for each additional child. Fakenham Town Centre Easter Funday
